It hardly takes half an hour driving by motorized boat to reach the wonderful west based historic island. It is originally called Changuu . This island was once owned by an Arab who used it for rebellious slaves. Later it was sold to general Mathews who converted it into a prison. With its fantastic white sandy beach and spectacular natural forest teeming with variety of birds and small animals such as peacocks and giant tortoise etc, the island is very famous for its richness in water based natural attractions hence it is among the best site for diving and snorkeling as well. Everything is still existing, although most of them have become decrepit. After the tour return back to your Hotel.
This full day excursion will take you to the southern part of zanzibar about one and half an hour driving from the historic stone town of Kizimkazi . After getting there we take a motorized boat so as to reach the dolphin zone for about five to ten minutes.
