FDT016 | MT KILIMANJARO - 06 DAYS MACHANE ROUTE
Day One: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Leave Arusha for Machame Gate, where you will be met by your porters, guides, and cooks after registering start hiking through the moss-covered trees up to Machane Hut where you will spend for your first night .All meals will be served.
Day 02 Machame Camp to Shira Camp
The hike will take us 3- 4hours There are several viewpoints from which you can see the plains forests below both Kibo and Mawenzi peaks above.Change in vegetation will be noticed. Continue to Shira Camp, where you will relax for the rest of the day. All meals will be served here
Day 03 Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
You will walk for 5-6 hours to Barranco Camp considered to be the most scenic campsite on the Machame Route. Enjoy sightings of the typical Kilimanjaro Mountain vegetation . Overnight at Barranco Hut
Day 04 Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp
Leave Barranco Camp after breakfast for Karanga Valley. After reaching the top make a short descent into the greener Karanga Valley and further to Barafu camp where you will overnight
Day 05 Barafu camp to Mweka Camp
Around midnight, begin the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. You pass through the gap between the Ratzel and Rebmann glaciers and continue to Uhuru peak (5,896 meter) as you watch the sun sunrise.Desend down to Mweka for your overnight stay .
Day 06 Mweka Camp
Descending to the Mweka Gate where our driver will be waiting to transfer you to either airport or Hotel
