Mount Kenya National Park” SECOND TALLEST MOUNTAIN IN AFRICA”
The park is located 175 Kms from Nairobi, the park can be accessed on Nanyuki-Isiolo road via Sirimon Track or Nyeri-Nanyuki road near Naro Moru. The park was established in 1949 to protect Mount Kenya and the wildlife .
Mount Kenya National Park is home to the second tallest mountain in Africa standing a magnificent 5199m (17,057 feet) be, The scenery surrounding this designated World Heritage Site is breath-taking.
Animals found in this park includes Elephants, bushbucks, waterbuck, elands, mongoose, antelopes the bird life is also very prolific including the huge eagles and colorful birds. It is pristine wilderness with glaciers, dense forest lakes, tarns, and springs.Continue reading
