Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park also referred to us   “Bird Watchers Paradise”

This national Park is located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, one of the great rift valley soda lakes it has an area of  188 square Km It is dubbed as the greatest spectacle on earth “due to the millions of fuchsia-pink flamingoes that flock to feed on the teeming algae of its alkaline water.

Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges.

Why Lake Nakuru National Park

The Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives. This is the place to see white rhinos seen Includes Thompson’s and Grant’s Gazelle, the rare long eared leaf-nosed bat, Columbus monkey, Rock Hyrax, Hippo, Leopard, Lion, Rhino, Water buck, Impala, Gazelle, Stripped Hyena, Bat eared fox, Wild cat, Reed buck and Golden cat. Re-stocked mammals include; Lion, Black and white Rhino and the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe just to mention but a few. Viewpoints includes lion hill, baboon and you also have a chance to enjoy Makalia falls.

On accommodation there are various options in  Lake Nakuru park , from Kenya Wildlife Bandas, Camping site, high end lodges – medium lodges , tented  camps.Besides game viewing  clients can  also enjoy camping,bird watching, hiking and picnic.

The park is easily accessible from Nairobi as its only 156 km north west . The main gate route is , 4 km from Nakuru Town Centre. Other accessible routes are Lanet Gate and Nderit Gate by road .For the flying clients, they can use Naishi airstrip .

We do have short and long safaris to this park,where clients can choose based on their  budget. Nakuru is accessible throughout the year and safaris are suitable for all age groups.
